Meet Dr. Dawn Burke
DVMDr. Dawn Burke has been a dedicated veterinarian at Suffield Veterinary Hospital since 1999. A native of Suffield, she graduated from Suffield High School in 1976 before attending William Woods College in Missouri, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree. During her freshman year, Dr. Burke discovered her passion for veterinary medicine, leading her to pursue a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri.
Dr. Burke’s veterinary career has been defined by her commitment to providing high-quality care and her deep connection to the local community. She has a particular interest in Golden Retrievers and is an active participant in breed conformation, obedience, and field trials with her two Goldens, Trace and Cider. This experience with her own dogs has deepened her understanding of canine behavior and health, which she brings into her practice.
When she’s not working, Dr. Burke enjoys spending time outdoors, skiing, and fishing. She finds joy in the variety that veterinary medicine offers, with each day bringing new challenges and opportunities to connect with both pets and their owners. She values the relationships she’s built with her clients over the years and is committed to ensuring each patient receives the best possible care.
Dr. Burke is proud to be part of the Suffield Veterinary Hospital team and looks forward to continuing her work with the community and their pets for years to come.
