
Meet Dr. Anita Sabellico
DVMDr. Anita Sabellico joined Suffield Veterinary Hospital in 1987. A Connecticut native, she discovered her passion for veterinary medicine while in high school and pursued that dream through undergraduate studies at Quinnipiac University, where she earned her degree in biology and laboratory animal technology. Before becoming a veterinarian, she worked in several veterinary nursing and research roles, caring for a wide range of species—from dogs and cats to primates and livestock—at Tufts New England Medical Center and the Harvard School of Public Health. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in 1985.
At Suffield Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Sabellico brings a special interest in exotic and small companion animals, including pet birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, and rodents, in addition to dogs and cats. She’s known for her thoughtful, hands-on approach and dedication to the health and well-being of all creatures in her care.
