Dr. Ann Huntington is the owner of Suffield Veterinary Hospital. A proud “city girl” originally from Brooklyn, NY, she began her career in marketing on Madison Avenue before discovering her true calling in veterinary medicine. Inspired by an early conversation about a female veterinarian—rare at the time—she returned to school and earned her Doctorate from Cornell University in 1977.
After working in Cheshire, CT, Dr. Huntington and her late husband Nick purchased Suffield Veterinary Hospital in 1983, where she built both a family and a thriving practice. Her special interest in canine reproduction helped establish the hospital as one of the leading repro centers in the Northeast. She is also a committed supporter of local rescue organizations and remains actively involved in the community.
Dr. Huntington continues to be passionate about providing the highest quality care to her patients and fostering a supportive, team-oriented environment. She shares her home with a wide array of beloved animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, and donkeys. Dr. Huntington proclaims that she has the “best job in the world,” both being able to care for animals in need, as well as being able to provide employment for more than 30 people who live in the community she loves so much.
