"Matilda" the Chicken

Meet "Matilda", a Jersey Giant Chicken, owned by the Harter Family of North Granby. "Matilda" recently came in to Suffield Veterinary Hospital after being bullied by her coup-mate, a New Hampshire Red. "Matilda" was suffering from a large wound on her abdomen. Dr. Sabellico surgically repaired "Matilda's" wound, and protected the area with the blue jacket-bandage that "Matilda" is donning in the picture above. We expect "Matilda" will heal quite well, and we will be seeing her again in a week for a recheck. As for the bully, we are happy to say he has been removed from the coup.
