Suffield Veterinary Hospital

June2007 Patient of the Month
Suffield Veterinary Hospital again sponsored a “Why My Pet Is Special” essay contest for third and fourth graders at McAlister School.  The winner receives an owner/pet portrait from Motophoto in Enfield, and the honor of seeing the essay and portrait published in the Suffield Observer.  Of the dozens we were privileged to read, many stood out for their humorous stories, wonderful writing and touching emotional content.   Below, we are proud to present to you our 2007 essay contest winner,

My cat "Sebastion" is special to me because: When I am sad he will follow me to my room and cheer me up! Also, he’s very sweet and loveable. Someone liked him so much she said she wanted to "steal" him! Like my other cat "Cosmo" who hides, Sebastion doesn’t. My thought is that he just wants to see people and… get the attention that comes with it! When we first got him he showed off his tail and walked around but then when he got tired he jumped on my dad’s lap and lie like a baby and fell asleep. Once by accident he did a summer-sault it was so funny and especially cute! He is a tabby cat and he has the fluffiest tail anyone ever saw! He’s black with lighter black on top. He also has long fur! I bet it’s about two inches long!~ He loves to be by the window in the sun sitting in his little bed. He’s about three years old. His favorite food is little fake fish taste fish things and when I shake it even from upstairs he comes running to me! He sleeps with me sometimes but other than that he sleeps by the window. When I was doing my "Immigration" project he kept on climbing on the poster board so I said "Do you wanna help?" So then I put a picture down lightly, put the tape underneath and used my cat to get the picture flattened onto the tape! If I run around the house with some string he’d run after me! He’s an indoor cat so when he gets out he just waits for us on our porch looking at the door until we open it. He doesn’t lick you unless you have his treats. Sometimes he acts like he’s a tiger and he looks like on e to but black. He has a little but soft nose that is really cute.

I Y him
