My Pet Is Special

My pet’s name is Frodo.  She is a kind of bird that is known as a parakeet.  Frodo is about one and three fourths years old.  I got the name from my brother Joshua.

Frodo is blue like the sky.  Her wings are cloudy and dark like the rain clouds.  She has black and white stripes on her head like a zebra has stripes.  She has tiny purple spots on her face, the shade of violet.

Frodo and I play hide and seek together.  She is good at hiding.  Frodo makes me happy by playing with my friends and me.  Frodo’s favorite toys are a ball, a ring, and a mirror.  Frodo makes me laugh by pecking at the mirror.

My pet doesn’t get lonely when I leave home, because Frodo has another bird living with her named Sam. 

Frodo tweets at my relatives and friends.

I take care of Frodo by petting her, feeding her and giving it treats when she is good.  We get Frodo’s food from Petco.  The food is seeds, tiny bits of apples and water.  Frodo sleeps on a bar in her cage.

That is why my pet is special.
